Restaurant Credit & Refund Information

Who Is Responsible For Credits & Refunds?

There are so many scenarios they could never all be covered. But there are a few that can help narrow the path towards receiving a credit or refund for a missing or unsatisfactory item and who should issue it. Below are a few of the most common credit & refund scenarios.


Many Restaurants Seal the Bags

  • Many restaurants do not want the drivers opening the packages and either seal it with a sticker or staple the bag shut. In this and similar Instances, the restaurant will be responsible for making things right since they do not want the driver opening the bag(s).


Missing Sides, Incorrect Modifiers, Under Cooked, Over Cooked, Soggy and Etc.

  • Majority of the time, the bags are handed to the driver or picked up from a designated area inside the restaurant. Drivers do their best to verify orders, but are not allowed to open individual containers to examine the contents. So, if an order has the wrong side, is missing sauce, under cooked, over cooked, soggy, burnt, just wrong or your sandwich doesn't have the extras you asked for (or didn’t), the restaurant will be responsible for making things right.


Cold or Luke Warm Food Temperature

  • Majority of merchants start preparing your meals as soon as they receive the order, which is typical for most restaurants. Typically, once prepared the To-Go bags “with meals inside” sit on a counter, table or designated delivery area until they are picked by the delivery driver.


  • Space restraints generally keep all To-Go food from being kept on a warming system stacked “only” one container high to maintain serving temperature until picked-up.


  • AJ Eats-Delivery uses a Hot Box Electric Delivery Systems with Temperature Output - Up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, Insulated Food Delivery Bags and Hard Coolers when transporting temperature-sensitive foods. In this and similar Instances, the restaurant will be responsible for making things right.

Who Is Responsible For Credits & Refunds?

If your Walmart® order was incorrect in any way, please visit the Help Center on Walmart's® official website.


Majority of the time, grocery bags are placed directly into the cargo space of the vehicle by a Walmart® employee then secured by the delivery driver. Drivers are unable to verify orders and are not allowed to open any bag or container to examine the contents. 


Needless to say, if an order has a crushed item, unacceptable substitution, missing items, poor quality or is just wrong, and/or etc. Walmart® will be responsible for making things right.

Who Is Responsible For Credits & Refunds?

If your Laundry or dry cleaning order was incorrect in any way, please reach out to the merchant directly. 


Majority of the time, garment bags and dry cleaned items are placed directly into the cargo area of the delivery vehicle by a merchant employee then secured by the delivery driver. 


Drivers are not qualified to inspect the garments for issues and are not allowed to open any bag or remove the plastic protector from hanging garments.  


Needless to say, if garments are not as expected, missing, damaged, altered incorrectly or etc. the merchant  will be responsible for making things right.

As stated in our Terms And Conditions, all charges and associated fees paid by you for orders:

  • Placed
  • Being prepared
  • Prepared Incorrectly by a "merchant"
  • Mishandled by a "merchant" in any way
  • Having missing and or incorrect items
  • When someone had An Allergic Reaction After Consuming Food
  • Where someone became Ill and/or sick After Consuming Food. 
  • Where deliveries were completed and/or attempted
  • That had ripped, torn, stained and/or damaged items
  • Where customer could not be contacted
  • Where a substitution could not be agreed upon
  • Where the estimated delivery time was exceeded 
  • That were Inaccurately placed
  • That were unable to be canceled
  • With issues out of AJ Eats llc control 
  • With items and/or products deemed unacceptable
  • Where originating merchant fails to issue credit or refund 


are final and non-refundable either in full or part by AJ Eats llc. Even though AJ Eats llc. has no obligation to provide refunds or credits for any instance(s) that were not directly caused by an error on the part of AJ Eats llc. credits and or refunds may be grant in exceptional circumstances and at AJ Eats llc. (dba) as AJ Eats-Delivery sole discretion.


If Issued, it shouldn’t take too long to receive your credit or refund.

 

  • Credit Card refunds are processed within 24  hours, but the banks can take around five to seven business days to handle the request. Learn More


  • Digital Coupons/Credits for redemption are sent out within 24 hours through SMS/Email. Learn More


Note: If AJ Eats-Delivery deems that customers are exploiting the company’s goodwill in order to receive free meals; AJ Eats-Delivery will deactivate the account or refuse service to any individual or business who is suspect of exploiting it's Refund/Credit policy.
